Company History
Donald Kampfhenkel started in the air conditioning industry in 1972 sweeping the floor of a sheet metal shop. After working for several air conditioning contractors and one manufacturer Donald took hold of an answered prayer and started D & D Mechanical in Kerrville in 1986. Twenty-six years later we have 5 trucks, a sheet metal shop and a staff that offers the most professional services available in the Hill Country.

As a certified TRANE Comfort Specialist company, we specialize in quality products for your every heating and air conditioning need. We also offer a variety of other products to help keep your system running smoothly.

D & D Mechanical is one of the few companies in the Kerrville area with true commercial heating and air conditioning experience. Let us demonstrate our abilities in a prompt and efficient manner. We would love to help you keep your system running in the best condition possible.
We make a variety of sheet metal products such as metal ductwork, flashing, chimney caps, drain pans, stainless steel countertops, brackets, braces, curbs, and many other items. Our shop can fabricate objects in thicknesses up to 16 gauge. We also stock sheet metal in galvanized, galvalum, cold roll, stainless steel, and aluminum.
Our sheet metal foreman is David Kampfhenkel. He has been with D&D Mechanical full time since 2010 (the truth is he has been in the business his compete life growing up with his dad hauling him around since he was a child). Call us today for a free price quote on your project!

D&D Mechanical installs commercial vent-a-hoods and make up air. We also install exhaust systems, dust collection systems, and other designed custom systems.
We will work everything from small commercial reach-in coolers of all kinds up to grocery store rack systems. Sorry we don’t work on home style refrigerators or freezers. We sell and install walk-in coolers and freezers. We also work on and install commercial ice machines.
